The latest company insolvencies have just been published by the Insolvency Service. The graph below shows business insolvencies across England and Wales during the second quarter of 2012.
There were 4,115 compulsory and creditors’ voluntary liquidations in the Q2 of 2012, adjusted on a seasonal basis across England and Wales. This is a 3.6% decrease on Q1 of 2012 and 2.4% less than Q2 of 2011.
Insolvencies are made up of:
1,040 compulsory liquidations (down 13.9% on Q1 of 2012 and down 18.7% on Q2 of 2011)
3,075 creditor voluntary liquidations (up 0.4%
on Q1 of 2012 and up 4.6% on Q2 of 2011)
There were also 1,310 other corporate insolvencies in the second quarter of 2012, not adjusted seasonally, comprising the below. This represents an increase of 6.3% on the same period a year ago (Q2 of 2011).
